Project DescriptionSummary: Complete monitoring of new Arsta Railway Bridge Clients: Bemek Geomekaniska Instrument AB Place: Stockholm (Sweden) Period: 2002 - 2003 Installation: Bemek AB / Smartec SA Structure's short description: The Arsta railway Bridge is the new double-track Arsta railway bridge. The new bridge, will span Stockholm's Arstaviken bay, with a length of 833 meters / 2732 feet. The bridge will include service roads on each side of the tracks with pedestrian and bicycle paths. Aim of monitoring: The aims are: The comparison of the monitoring results whis theoretical hypotheses Controll of the bridge behaviour during construction, testing period and life span Verify the uncertainties of bridge design, increase know-how for future projects integrating monitoring in bridge design Number of sensor: 46 Main Results: The sensors installation will start next January 2003
