Summary: Monitoring of compression strains in the vault of Mittelholz Tunnel.

Structure's short description: During the construction of L?schberg gallery, a branch of Alptransit Swiss confederation project, the construction of a cut-and-cover tunnel to protect the main street from avalanches has been monitored.

Aim of monitoring: The aims were to better understand the tunnel vault behaviour during the recovering to be compared to theoretical hypotheses.

Main Results: The tests have shown the compression strains increasing during each recovering steps.
